The Pyramid Approach

Throughout his 16 years on the US National Team, Brendan never once considered himself the most talented swimmer but instead relied upon this Pyramid Approach he created to achieve success.  In this 45 minute speech with a 15 minute Q&A, Brendan will guide your team through his four step process for success while defining a foundation for continued progress.  Hansen also addresses learning from failures and building upon accomplishments in this powerful offering.

To Coach or Be Coached... There is no Try

Brendan's experiences as an elite athlete, one of America's top swimming coaches, and now as a business professional helped him realize that "in every role, you are coached and being coached."   To understand this provides understanding as to how each individual adds value to their teammates, their organization, and their own personal objectives.  During this 45 minute speech and 15 minute Q&A, Brendan will guide the audience through their ability to coach through competency and connection, their ability to be coached with trust, openness, and vulnerability, and the realization that there is no trying - let Brendan teach you to add value through purposeful and driven actions.

Collaboration Station

Diverse teams lead to endless inspiration, motivation, and ultimately, success.  Brendan's career is laced with his own incredible performances that led to a greater team achievement, including crucial participation in multiple National Championships and the pivotal breaststroke leg on the Mens 4x100 Medley Relay that clinched Michael Phelps's eighth gold medal in the 2008 Olympics.  This 45 minute speech with 15 minute Q&A facilitates an environment where people desire to be involved and are excited to contribute to the larger group as they understand the make up of a successful team and how to move forward together using Brendan's 5 simple steps.

Compass Clarity

After missing the Olympic team twice in his Olympic Trials debut,  Brendan became known as the "Man on a Mission" and went on to set two world records to make his first Olympic team 4 years later.    Compass Clarity provides a platform for Brendan to share his vision setting techniques through a 45 minute speech and 15 minute Q&A where your group will not only gain the skills to calibrate their compass but will also understand how this knowledge of the group's starting point and the direction in which they want to go builds confidence, reduces stress, and provides drive and direction for their team.

Social Kick

In the sport of swimming, "social kick" is a time to grab your kick board and catch up with your friends.  During this 60 minute question and answer session, Brendan engages in true audience connection, using his humor and captivating storytelling skills to answer unique questions--from "How fun was the 2012 Olympic Team's 'Call Me Maybe' video?" to "How do you continue to inspire today's swimmers?" and everything in between, this session is a true Ask Brendan Anything!
